Raving About Rehab!

When was the last time you were truly in the zone? You know, nose to the grind stone...giving it your all...busting it like no one's business? Have you ever held that kind of passion and conviction? The kind that drives you to study around the clock? Or maybe to practice for hours on end? Maybe you were in a big game and you played your 'arse' off and left it all on the field? Didn't that feel good!

Well Nicole Curtis of Rehab Addict appears to personify this feeling! If you've never watched the show, check it out on Thursdays at 9pm on HGTV! This tiny framed single mom epitomizes motivation, inspiration, and strength. I wish I had half her energy.

On Nicole's show, she purchases real estate properties that have been condemned or foreclosed on and then renovates them and flips them to go buy her next property. She focuses her search on properties with great bone structure and then restores these homes to nearly original condition. She has a real eye for classic elements and truly has accomplished some beautiful home designs with the help of a very talented crew.

I love the use of the Edison Light Bulbs in the chandelier in the dining room. the upholstery on the dining room chairs is incredibly timeless.

This is a kitchen that she restored. Those are original marble floors that she resurfaced and polished herself. Love the addition of the apron front sink!

This living room that she restored still had the fireplace in original condition. She painted the background behind all that fancy carving and left the carvings themselves original. The hardwood floors are original to the home. She had her team help her refinish them. Loving that ceiling and all the light let in from that gorgeous window.

This is a great photo of the Before and After. As you can see the built in banquet was original to the home. She restored it to the beautiful original condition. And believe it or not this beautiful hardwood floor was under all that awful linoleum! And there are the those great Edison Light Bulbs again that I love so much. Course this home is staged for a quick sale so the floors are left exposed to draw the buyer in. This dining room would be so much warmer with an area rug of some kind under the table.

If you are looking for a show with contagious energy, you need to check out Rehab Addict! Right now, the entire Rehab Addict collection is available on Netflix so you can watch right from Season One. If you're a fan of Rehab Addict already, what was your favorite episode? What do you like or not like about the show?
